Nick Hummel Bio. June 2006U.S.T.A. National Coach I have been a teaching professional for over 15 years; USPTA P1 certified since 1996, I hold a L1 USTA certification in Sports Science. I have successfully achieved positions as Director & Head professional, coached juniors to the L1 and National Level, coached adult U.S.T.A. N.T.R.P. Teams to the Regional, Sectional & National Championship, I have Coached the National Jr. Competitive Training Center (C.T.C.) program, leading the Southern ETA section Team to the C.T.C. championship in 2003. As U.S.T.A. National coach, I had the privilege coaching the Eastern Zonal girls 14’s to the gold medal in 2004, and the boys and girls 12’s Zonal Gold medalist in 2005.
My Competitive background started at age 16 and came to an abrupt
halt in July of 1993, one month before I was to play the Pro
circuit; I had a devastating accident which left my leg fractured in
over 20 places. I used this set back as my motivation for
rehabilitating over the next 3 years. I recovered all my ability,
and since have been dedicated to better myself as a player and a
coach. I have always been fitness & nutrition dedicated Pro athlete,
I have been successful in multiple sports including Soccer,
Baseball, Skiing, Pro Volleyball and managed to win a few Golf
tournaments as an amateur. My off court training routine has gained
me recognition in many fitness clubs, I have been an acting
consultant for personal trainers looking to work with tennis
players, and teach my own off court High Performance Training
Classes. My hard work and dedication to my profession has made me a
recognized and modeled professional.
